Creating beautiful spaces that reflect who you are

As a native New Yorker who relocated to Memphis with my family over a decade ago, my professional journey has been quite diverse—spanning the financial services industry, the rewarding role of a full-time stay-at-home mom, and the dynamic world of indoor cycling instruction. Remarkably, design had not been on my radar until a pivotal moment changed everything.

My passion for design blossomed when my husband, Jeff, and I embarked on the journey of building our home in East Memphis. I found myself captivated by every aspect of design, eagerly absorbing knowledge and inspiration at every turn. Even after we moved into our new home on Valentine’s Day 2015, my enthusiasm only grew; I yearned to continue exploring the art of design.

However, life presented unexpected challenges. Just two months after moving in, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The subsequent six months of chemotherapy and surgery required me to spend extensive time at home. It was during this period that I truly grasped the profound impact our surroundings have on our well-being. A home must not only be aesthetically pleasing but also evoke a sense of comfort and peace. Surrounded by cherished items and beautiful elements, we foster a sense of wellness that transcends personal health, positively influencing our relationships and interactions with those we love.

About nine months post-diagnosis, I assisted a dear friend in renovating and redecorating her home. Initially hesitant about spending someone else’s money, I gradually grew more confident and adventurous in my design choices. Within a year, we transformed nearly every room, resulting in a stunning and functional space that inspired joy.

This experience ignited my passion for interior design and ultimately led to the creation of Tara Felice Interiors. Since those early days, I have expanded my portfolio, undertaking projects not only throughout Memphis but also in Oxford, Nashville, New York, Florida, and Chicago. My design philosophy centers on “sophisticated comfort,” aiming to create spaces that are as livable as they are beautiful. I believe in an approachable and functional aesthetic, encouraging clients to embrace the joy of design and to have fun throughout the process.

With a dedicated team and streamlined business processes, I ensure a smooth and seamless experience for my clients. My goal is to foster collaborative relationships that expand clients’ design visions, transforming their homes into personal oases of joy, peace, and harmony for years to come.
